      hi everyone, i was told to report at hendon camp on 23rd jul. Is that the commando VA? Any tips for that? I really like to get selected for it.

      Ya hendon camp VA is confirm commandos. People who get the letter have a very very high chance of getting selected. Just dont screw up the VA, and show interest during your interview.

       

      May I know when exactly did u receive your letter? Today? I got a classmate who received it last Friday, but is slotted for VA on the 25th.

      I would like to ask is it possible for PES B to be selected for commando VA?

      cos my friend PEB B also received the letter to go Hendon camp. I thought commandos are all PES A?

      Ya I think that Pes B is ok. But Pes C surely cannot one. Maybe his case is quite minor so they can still accept.

      No you cant do that. Thats an offence. What you can do is tell the interviewer you definitely will enjoy being a commando because you are surrounded with hunky guys whom you can fantasise with.

      actually for those not interested in commando can just dun go the VA de. i am very very sure that they wont get charged. SAF cant charge civilians. dun worry

      can someone confirm if its much harder to become officer when you're a commando rather than if u took the 'normal' ns way?

      I think this has been discussed before.

      I tot the VA is in PRC? how come at hendon.. hmm..

      it'll be harder to become an officer in the formation.

      firstly, the whole lot who go to OCS are all specially picked from the people who are also specially selected for Leader course after BMT.

      Leader course is like a spec course.. just that they go through a wide spectrum of trainings. our PCs(in BMT) refer leader course as a mini Ranger course.

      so you got your answers.

      to be a cdo officer, have to outshine the other leaders to cross over.

      How different is the CDO spec course compared to enlistee course? Ur unit got any other nationalities join as red beret?

      singaporeans only. what do you mean by enlistee course? I already mentioned it was something like a mini Ranger course. go search around you should roughly know how it works.
